Sources & Methodology

This page explains how IPO Tips collects and presents IPO information, subscription data, and Grey Market Premium (GMP). Transparency is important: some data is official, while some indicators (like GMP) are unofficial and can be noisy.

Data sources (high level)

  • IPO details & documents: Company filings and public disclosures (e.g., RHP/DRHP), exchange notices, and registrar information.
  • Subscription data: Public subscription updates published during the issue window (category-wise demand).
  • GMP: Unofficial market indicator aggregated from market sources. GMP is not regulated and is inherently uncertain.

Update frequency

We aim to refresh active IPO data regularly. Some fields update multiple times a day (like subscription), while others update less frequently (like prospectus links and static issue details).

Limitations and how to interpret GMP

GMP is an unofficial indicator and can differ across sources. It may change rapidly and may not reflect the final listing price. Use it only as one input alongside fundamentals, valuation, and risk assessment.
